With over 5 yrs years of experience, Confetti Dogs has developed an unwavering passion for understanding and addressing the behavioral challenges faced by dogs and their owners. We place a strong emphasis on educating owners; empowering them with the skills and tools necessary to maintain long-term behavioral improvements.
Our founder and head trainer, John, has been very fortunate to have connected with a few mentors who have taught him so much over the last few years and who have genuinely believed in him and in his abilities to transition into training full time. They’ve challenged him and pushed him along the way and continue to do so! We have served dogs, owners, and their families in all of Frederick MD and the surrounding areas, including Urbana, Middletown, Ballenger Creek, Hagerstown, Myersville, Brunswick, New Market, Mt. Airy, Germantown, Gaithersburg, Potomac, Leesburg VA, and more.

our lives have changed
After getting a Doberman puppy, we realized that the puppy classes at Petsmart were not going to be enough to help with changing some of her behaviors. Our daily walks were horrendous with her constant pulling. Feeding times were a disaster as Greta would jump on me. We knew that as she got larger, there would be more issues. We are so happy that we found Confetti Dogs. Not only does he provide all necessary equipment, including leashes and collars, but through his app, we send weekly videos of our “homework” documenting our progress. John comes prepared with weekly lessons geared to what we want to work on. His background in education shows through on how to change behaviors of our pet. After working with us, our lives have changed to the point that I’m now walking Greta 3 miles a day. Feedings are pleasant for us. I would highly recommend John and Confetti Dogs.

worth every penny
John from Confetti dogs is the best! Our dog is (becoming was!) an extremely fearful and reactive dog. We couldn't even take her for walks or have her meet new people because of her reactivity. She would bark, lunge and be really scary. But, after working with John, she is learning to be more confident, less scared and now genuinely enjoys walks. Walks used to be really scary for her and stressful for us. I cannot recommend Confetti Dogs enough. John bases his plans on the dog and their family, and doesn't just follow a standard for everyone. He customizes training and is extremely thorough. He's super easy to work with and you can tell how much he loves dogs and what he does. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and worth every penny.

I can’t say enough good things about John and his training program. He is super knowledgeable, creative, and passionate about his work. We have an almost 2 year old French bulldog who was struggling with fear aggression, and the difference this training program has made is just incredible. Our treatment plan was specifically catered to his needs and he used methods that were super successful for our dog. Highly recommend Confetti Dogs!
